‘Tis the season for left overs…and unused food items. Since it’s just me and my husband most of the time now, we don’t need as much holiday food as we did with a houseful of kids. This can cause some other issues. I take a couple of shortcuts now and then…like buying pre-made pie crust for my pumpkin pie. Of course those packages have two pie crusts in them, and we only need one pumpkin pie. So, what can I do with the other pie crust? Well, I like to make cinnamon chips.
It’s really easy. All you do is pre heat the oven to 350F/177c. rub the crust with butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar all over it, then cut it up with a knife or pizza cutter. Put it in the oven for 6-8 minutes (or until they start turning brown). Let them cool for a couple minutes and enjoy!
